What services can the Anglican Parish of Kempsey offer for my loved one’s funeral?
No Interest Loans
Recognising that financial services in Australia excluded people living on low incomes, the Sisters of the Good Shepherd set up the No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) in 1981.
The NILS programme has grown across Australia and offers financially vulnerable people the chance to access a loan with no interest. These provide individuals and families on low incomes with access to safe, fair, and affordable credit with no fees or charges applied.
Loans are available up to $2000 - depending on income and circumstances - and no interest is paid on the loan. Locally, Good Shepherd partners with Kempsey Neighbourhood Centre Inc. in administering NILS. Please be in touch with our Parish Priest to facilitate a referral or a letter of advocacy.
